L’articolo propone l’edizione commentata del gap di Ruggeri Apugliese, una vanteria in forma di sirventese in cui Ruggeri, giullare senese del XIII sec., mette in luce mestieri e campi del sapere nei quali eccelle. Tramandato da due testimoni, l’uno fiorentino (Ricc. 2183), l’altro lucano (Ricc. 2624), Tant’aggio ardire rientra tra quei componimenti che, per ragioni intrinseche, si prestano a rimaneggiamenti da parte dei copisti. La constatazione delle divergenze che contraddistinguono le due redazioni ha determinato la scelta di un’edizione sinottica, strumento che è parso utile ad evidenziare il minuto tessuto di variazioni testuali. La decisione di fornire un confronto sinottico è supportata anche dalla difformità della patina linguistica dei due mss. L’edizione è accompagnata da un’analisi degli aspetti linguistici, con particolare attenzione al testimone lucano, mentre nelle note sono discusse le principali divergenze di lezione e i problemi filologici relativi alle due versioni.

This article presents an annotated edition of Ruggeri Apugliese’s gap, a boast in the form of a sirventes, where Ruggeri, a thirteenth-century Sienese minstrel, highlights the trades and fields of knowledge in which he excels. This gap, Tant’aggio ardire, is transmitted by two manuscripts, one Florentine (Ricc. 2183), and the other Lucanian (Ricc. 2624), and it is a poem that, for intrinsic reasons, lent itself to being reworked by scribes. The differences found in the two versions have led to the decision to give a synoptic edition, which seems most suitable for underlining the details of the textual variations. The choice of a synoptic comparison is also motivated by the linguistic differences in the two manuscripts. This edition is accompanied by an analysis of the linguistic aspects, with particular attention being paid to the Lucanian version, while the notes discuss the main variants and the philological problems involved in the two versions.
