In replica all'intervento di Paolo Trovato sulle forme linguistiche nel testo critico della Commedia dantesca, Inglese analizza la lingua del ms. Trivulziano 1080, soffermandosi sui fenomeni che, per varie ragioni, Trovato considera estranei al fiorentino del Duecento. esamina anche i toscanismi della tradizione manoscritta settentrionale (Urbinate 366). In conclusione, ribadisce l'opportunità di basare l'edizione sul tessuto linguistico del Trivulziano. Propone anche alcune riflessioni aggiuntive sullo "stemma" del poema.

In response to the intervention of Paolo Trovato on the linguistic forms of the critical text of the Divina Commedia, Inglese analyzes the language of the ms. Trivulziano 1080, focusing on the phenomena which, for various reasons, Trovato judges as foreign to the Florentine language of the 13th century. The article also examines the manuscript tradition of northern Italy (Urbinate 366) and confirms the need to base the edition on the linguistic composition of Trivulziano. Moreover, Inglese offers some additional thoughts about the "stemma" of the Commedia.
